The sleeping bag that’ll suit your baby will depend on the temperature in your city and how much your baby likes to stay warm (some babies are warmer than others, each baby is unique).

To begin with, you should know that the toddler sleep sack with removable sleeves  is warmer than the toddler sleep sack. The first is one, is made for temperatures between 6 C° and 16 Cº (42.8 F – 60.8F)  and the bag without arms for temperatures between 13 C° and 18 Cº (54.4 F- 64.4 F)

To identify which one is right for your baby:

Identify how hot your baby is: There are babies warmer than others, so it is not only enough to assess the weather but also what your baby is sleeping in  and  what usually feels comfortable for them. If your baby doesn’t like too many layers of clothing,  we suggest using the Toddler sleep sack without sleeves, which is enough for winter even if it’s really cold. On the contrary, if your baby is not fussy about clothes, then the Toddler sleep sack will be ideal for your baby. With the  removable sleeves, you’ll have more versatility. 

They are made of a double layer of 100% premium pima cotton and one layer of thermal fiber padding. The first contact with your baby’s skin will always be premium pima cotton which prevents irritation and allergies.

If you already have your sleeping sack you can use a washing machine on delicate wash, with spin and cold water. Don´t worry,  it will not lose its shape and nor will the filling be spoiled. Also, remember to never use hot water or a dryer as everything that is hot shrinks the cottons.

Other moms also recommend washing it with similar clothes and baby softener this way, it will maintain the softness and texture of cotton.

The logic is the following: the summer sleeping sack replaces the sheets and the winter sleeping sack replaces the duvets, underneath you should only put on pajamas, and the layering will  depend on the temperature of the room &/or the climate. We recommend using it as follows:

Summer: Summer sack + a light cotton shirt and bottoms depending on how warm the room or the weather is. 

Mid-season: Mid season sack + short or long-sleeved pajamas depending on how hot or warm the room or the weather is. 

Winter:

• Toddler sleeping sack without sleep  + Light pima cotton interior + long-sleeved pajamas of pima cotton, jacquard or other non-synthetic material
• Sleeping sack with removable sleeves + Cotton pajamas underneath

Remember that the temperature varies, so when it gets colder you can add another layer of cotton underneath to reinforce the warmth or put on thicker pajamas.

It depends on how big they are when they are born, preferably they can start to  use it after 1 month of being born. 

When they are too small, the sleeves are too heavy for them and it could become uncomfortable or cause them to overheat, increasing the risk of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). It is better to put on thick pajamas, with the sleeping sack on top and that should be enough!

It depends on how much your baby kicks and moves. If your baby doesn’t move so much, it’s better to have a round sack so they stay warm. On the contrary, if your baby kicks a lot or tries to stand up, the sack with feet is the one for you.
